Frequently asked questions

What kind of events can I host?

The Nest can welcome up to 50 guests for a seated occasion and up to 75 for standing receptions. We can also combine the space with the main dining room at Ellie Bird for larger events like weddings, corporate functions, and social celebrations. We are open Tuesday-Sunday for dinner and Saturday-Sunday for brunch; off-hours events are available with a minimum 2+ weeks advanced notice.

Whether you need a space for your book club, bachelorette, or office holiday party, we also partner with our Founder’s Row neighbors to offer enticing packages that showcase the best our community has to offer. Think bachelorette bundles with facials and manicures, wellness days with a private group fitness classes followed by a celebratory brunch, or dinner & a movie events featuring a private screening at the newly opened Paragon Theater.

IS THERE PARKING?

Yes! We offer validated parking in the Founder’s Row garages, steps away from our doors. We are also easily located by ride-share services and about 15 minutes walk to the West Falls Church metro station.

Why is it called the nest?

This space is an extension of the culinary & service teams of Ellie Bird and Michelin-starred Rooster & Owl. Expect egg-cellent menus in a cozy vibe, perfectly perched in Falls Church, VA.

What about allergies?

Most allergies or dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice; we ask that all hosts confirm allergy and dietary restriction needs at least one week in advance of their event. Options may be more limited for guests with complex or overlapping allergies, with true allium allergies, or following strict vegan diets.

Please note: our kitchen is not a gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, or kosher facility; we also serve or have served shellfish and shellfish-containing items. We use clean pans, utensils, and boards and do not cross-utilize oils or grill pans, and we can develop event menus free of certain allergies, e.g. tree and peanut-free. However, if any risk of cross-contamination is an issue for you or your guests, we do not recommend dining with us. #livetodineanotherday

IS THIS SPACE PRIVATE?
